Guest Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Hi all, Wondered if anyone had some nice ideas of how to jazz up a listening area. Currently the area is so small that it is difficult for 2 children to access and find that children are so easily distracted by the other activities within the room that they usually don't stay at the area for very long. All thoughts would be greatly welcomed Regards Genevieve
finleysmaid Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 can you cover it somehow and make it den like (look at elizabeth jarman communication friendly spaces) or put in a little pop up tent or a dark den with torches. Without seeing the space it's a difficult one to advise on ...what's it surrounded by? what have you got in there already?
Guest Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Hi I have two of these leaves from ikea over my listening centre and some bean bags. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/60054636/ Deb
Fredbear Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Hi as you say it is really tiny is there anyway you can relocate it within the space you have. Definitely tents both indoors and outdoors. Do look at Elizabeth Jarmans Communication Friendly Spaces for lots of inspirational ideas.
