Guest Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Have any childminders received their letter in relation to Ofsted publishing childminder's details. It would be interesting to hear your views on this.
Guest Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I received mine last week. I'm inclined to consent to my details appearing on their website, the information is freely available through the FIS anyway and it makes it easier for parents to identify my report. Initially I had a few concerns re security etc but having not had any issues about this in nearly 15 years of childminding feel that may have been an over-reaction. I'll be interested to see what others think. Nona
HoneyPancakes Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I too have sent my consent - may live to regret it, but my theory is that, because I only work term time my target market is 'teachers and students', just the sort of people who might look on the Ofsted website first. If there had been an option just to have phone numbers I would have chosen it. Honey
Guest Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I decided not to consent for the time being ,safeguarding issues being one of my main concerns.
