Guest
Our current topic is Colour and Pattern and we have our Class assembly in 3 weeks. As one of the other Reception classes is doing a general Class Assembly about Colour, I thought I'd do my assembly about Chinese New Year and the Holi festival. We will be doing lots of Holi activities on Monday - rangoli patterns and hand designs, painting on black and white photos of ourselves, patterns using sand and general colour patterns but I need some help with some songs to sing or rhymes to say during the assembly. Can anyone help?
Fredbear
Hi we sing a Chinese New Year song called Gung Hay Fat Choy with the children, should beable to download if you google it. We have Chinese music playing to dance with ribbons and material to be dragons. Hope it goes well.
JacquieL
Holi isn't until March Cilla, and is the Hindu festival of Spring and involves lots of colour, but Chinese New Year begins on the 23rd January this year. If you do a search on here you should find quite few ideas for activities for Chinese New Year. Great fun!
