catma
What will the children be learning? Then the theme can be shaped around the focus. Cx

apple
on the ring theme can you set a problem such as "How many different ways can you think of to arrange these 5 Olympic circles?' true problem solving and also linked to sh sp m (pattern making and arrangements) They could have a choice of graph paper (large enough for your 'rings' and/or blank paper. The children could find out ways to record their findings so bringing in mathematical graphics
