Phonics And Letter Sounds

 Share

Recommended Posts

Yellow Door have just emailed me their latest newsletter and are offering a free download demonstrating how the letter sounds should.. well sound.

I'd be interested to see how useful people think it is in terms of reinforcing the correct way to produce the sounds. You can find it here.

I think the sounds are mostly pretty good a few, t,k,t,r hard to distinguish but may be an accent thing as well but for parents etc that need help think on the whole pretty good.

A few of them don't sound right to me, like r sounds like 'er' and j sounds like jer. Might just be me being picky but some of them sound like exactly what I'm trying to get my kids (and parents!) to stop saying!

Thanks missblinx. I was wondering whether this might be the case.
