Helen Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Can I point you in the direction of a new article on Forest School philosophy, from Sara Knight at Anglia Ruskin University? You can find it here
Rea Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I enjoyed that. It took me back to when my lads were smaller, we lived outdoors at the weekends, rivers, lakes, woods, mud, sticks, stones. Its a shame that so many children dont have any of that in these days of anti bac and pencils.
HappyMaz Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Thanks Helen. I've printed it out to read later. Good to read articles here written for us by a published author. We're very spoiled here on the FSF aren't we?
Helen Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 Thanks Rea. I agree entirely! Hope you enjoy it Maz Have you read any of Sara's other work?
HappyMaz Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I have at least one of her books which I've dipped in and out of. I'm still thinking about doing a Forest School leadership course, having prevaricated over the Masters. Would just need to find a local group willing to support me. Maybe this article and the book will help me decide to pull my finger out!
