Cctv & Crime Prevention

Wonder if anyone can help

I've just been contacted by a company called Carlisle Security who claim to offer CCTV installations subsidised by the government through crime prevention and the local police.

Just wondered if anyone had heard of this scheme or come across the company?

There sometimes seem to be so many scams out there and people trying to sell us things, that I thought I'd ask you all before spending too much time on it.

On the one hand we could benefit from CCTV to protect ourselves with a huge increase in nursery break ins in our area, but on the other hand, I know we can't afford it if this 'subsidy' turns out to be just a sales pitch

Thanks!

we are on a school site and have cctv which covers our outdoor area and the main reception to the Nursery - it was bought as part of the school package , and it has significantly reduced the vandalism etc that was happening . I suggest you get a couple of quotes from local comapnies for what you want - then you have a benchmark of what costs are normally if you decide to get in touch with this company, it gives you the upper hand . :o

Thanks for your replies

Ringing the police for recommendations is a good idea.

I'll be meeting with this company next week so will see what it is they are offering. They were talking about cctv for outside and inside, and I'm not at all sure how I feel (or how the parents would feel) about cctv inside the nursery.
