Guest
Hi everyone this week our boys and girls have really been involved in playing chasing games - being police and chasing each other - wanted to extend this interest - thought about a police station ? not sure what else to do! Guest rainyjaney
Could you invite a police officer in?
Panders
Ours have enjoyed helping to make "wanted posters" figuring out how to get a cat (toy one) out of the tree, making handcuffs - pieces of cardboard tube cut down the middle so that it can fit like a cuff and then we taped some string to each cuff - they made those most days for ages! They also made police badges from tin foilll and card. - trained sniffer police dogs (one of their friends playing the dog).
finleysmaid
two favourites from the last time we did this walkie talkies and police cars (you make these from vegetable boxes turned upside down, with an oval cut in the middle. the children stand in the hole and lift the box up so that they are inside the car! ...we ended up making police/fire and ambulance ones in the end ...you can add no detail or lots...headlights, registration numbers, sirens etc...so thats all your areas of learning covered in one activity ) p.s. wanted posters also very popular here! Guest
We have also done fingerprinting with ink pads, although it helps to check the washability of the ink first
