Emergency Calls

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi, just been on a first aid course and found out something non of us knew. If you need to dial for an ambulance or other emergency from a mobile phone apparently 112 gets you to the closest transmitter, 999 gets you to the closest transmitter for your network, which in the tutors experience can put a call through to a service 100 miles away. Not something I can test but thought I'd share it with you :D

Thanks Rea,

Lets hope we never have to use it ( Your deputy didn't need emergency services after your "rant" tonight, did she :o )

It also helps to;

1. Have your mobile with you ( mines never with me)

2. Turn it on

3. Charge it up

Peggy

Keep a spare charger at work you can still use a mobile phone while charging.

The information about 112 is contained in your BT phone book at the front.
