Guest Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Can anyone explain what a COMMUNICATION LANGUAGE AND LITERACY CO-ORDINATOR DO PLEASE HELP Quote
eyfs1966 Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 In an early years setting they are primarily responsible for planning and delivery of the letters and sounds phases, and ensuring all staff are familiar with the letters and sounds approach. Quote
JacquieL Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Letters and sounds is only one aspect of CLL. A co-ordinator would also be responsible for all aspects of CLL which includes speaking and listening, development of reading and writing skills, integration of ICT, monitoring of children's progress and development of practice, and searching out and ordering appropriate resources. I hope that helps. This could also be a very large role within a school setting covering everyone up to Y6. Quote
Guest Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 that sounds more interesting would they be responsible for displays? Quote
JacquieL Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 That would depend..... Perhaps a bit more information about why you wish to know would help people answer your question more specifically. Quote
