Rea Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Has anyone seen small lead pencils for sale anywhere? Ikea have them by the lorry load for customers but I dont like taking the amount i usually want. Coloured pencils come in small, but I havent seen lead. I think they would be so much easier for small hands to hold and control.
Guest Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 The ones we have are Ferby Lyra pencils which are smaller than a normal pencil but slightly bigger than the Ikea ones. They are triangular in shape. I got mine from Yorkshire Purchasing and they cost about £10 for 36 pencils. I would assume you can get them from other suppliers. I did a google search for Ferby pencils and got quite a few sites up. Linda
Sue R Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Just to pitch in with a comment, here, we use those pencils, Linda, and like them a lot, the triangular shape acts like the grips you can get to help the children hold them more correctly, as well. Sue
mundia Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 yes, Im a Furby fan too, but I didnt know they came in pencil form, just coloured ones. thanks linda, i shall look out next year.
Guest Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 Its just a thought, but do you have a 'Handy Andy' who could cut ordinary pencils in 2 so that you could just sharpen them????
