Has anyone seen small lead pencils for sale anywhere? Ikea have them by the lorry load for customers but I dont like taking the amount i usually want. :o

Coloured pencils come in small, but I havent seen lead. I think they would be so much easier for small hands to hold and control. :D

The ones we have are Ferby Lyra pencils which are smaller than a normal pencil but slightly bigger than the Ikea ones. They are triangular in shape. I got mine from Yorkshire Purchasing and they cost about £10 for 36 pencils. I would assume you can get them from other suppliers. I did a google search for Ferby pencils and got quite a few sites up.

Just to pitch in with a comment, here, we use those pencils, Linda, and like them a lot, the triangular shape acts like the grips you can get to help the children hold them more correctly, as well.

Its just a thought, but do you have a 'Handy Andy' who could cut ordinary pencils in 2 so that you could just sharpen them????
