Guest
Please could anyone give me ideas for messy play/mark making with babies and toddlers. I have recently had jelly, custard, yoghurt, rice pudding, potato, jelly, gloop, coloured spaghetti, pureed fresh fruit. I am trying to think of things which they can put into their mouths which will be safe and also not too far away from their current diets. Thank you. Not a food but my under 2's love it when I fill a builder's tray with shredded paper - those who can sit love to sit in it an throw it everywhere and crawlers explore it from the edges and sometimes get in! Toddlers also love shaving cream and clapping hands to make snow - you could use low fat squirty cream if you wanted a food angle.
