Do I Need To Keep Or Shred?

Was having a sort out in the filing cabinet today and wondered if it was necessary to keep information on students from college and those on work experience or should I shred it. Realised I had amassed quite a bit dating back to 2004.

I have a note in the register about who we had, when we had them and where they were from. Apart from that, I give all the paperwork back to the student, otherwise - as you say, it does mount up a bit!
