Schemas

Hi everyone,

whilst I know quite a lot about the different types of schemas children can display, does anyone know/ is there any research as to why some children seem to have very definite schema and equally some children have none at all.

My experience tells me it's nothing at all to do with intelligence, but does anyone know of any explanation?

Thanks for any replies

Interesting question ...

I wonder if some children develop 'their' schema later, post preschool age? Or whether it is those children who get really interested (almost to the point of obsession) with a particular thing that show schema more strongly.

I never really noticed any with my son, but my daughter has a definite packing and transporting one going on (although that might be because we travel a lot!)
