JacquieL Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Internet safety is something which we are all concerned about for our children and today is the EU Internet Safety Day. More information can be found here http://www.ceop.police.uk/mediacentre/pres...op_09022010.asp and a link to the inline cartoon is here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/8499356.stm
HappyMaz Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Thanks for this Jacquie - it has certainly made a splash today hasn't it? And how sad that one of the other links given was to a news report about someone being arrested in Wales about a sexual assault at a local playgroup. Life is so unfair. Maz
dublinbay Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Thank you for these links Jacquie. We have an internet link in our pre-school which comes from the primary school on whose site we are situated. They told us that all the security measures were in place before we started. However I always feel quite nervous when the children want the internet on for Cbbcs and Thomas the Tank Engine etc. This cartoon could prove to be a useful aid in teaching the children how to be safe. Phew! What a world!
