Children Thinking Mathematically - New Dscf Booklet

Recommended Posts

If you're interested in PSRN from children's perspective, you should enjoy Children Thinking Mathematically, recently published booklet by the DCSF - and written in response to Recommendation 4 of the 'Williams Maths Review'.

You can download a copy here: http://nationalstrategies.standards.dcsf.gov.uk/fl33/maths and hard copies should be available soon.

Took this along to SLT meeting last week.

I had already read it and highlighted statements which we need to address!!!!!!!

Mixed reception to it so far so they are going to read for themselves and discuss next week. The transition person loved it and will push for the changes..... no, not changes, fine tweaking.
