Guest
Hi all I know this is a personal question so please dont worry if you dont want to answer or please feel free to PM me but i am just sat trying to work out money!!! We have had an awful week in which my partner was made redundant with effect from friday. He was paid weeekly so we have no more money coming in from that job. I was told at the beginning of the month that i have been awarded threshold and it will be back dated to Sept. My question is can anyone tell me what the take home pay each month is on U1? I have no idea and so am finding it hard work out our new monthly budget. Many Thanks Lola

JacquieL
I'm so sorry to hear about your worries and it must be an anxious time for you. I do hope you manage to sort it all out soon. You can find the NUt pay calculator here and it's easy to use. http://www.teachers.org.uk/pay-calculator/mainscale

Upsy Daisy
I'm sorry I can't help with the question but I just wanted to say I'm really sorry to hear what's happened and I hope things start lookingup very soon. It can feel quite bleak when you don't know how long it is going to last but we'll all keep our fingers crossed that he finds something else really quickly. Well done for having such a positive attitude.

Welldone for achieving threshold 1, you could perhaps see if there are other things that you may 'go for' eg deputy jobs? leading teacher? .....look on your LEA's bulletin good luck Tinkerbell
