Sand And Water Linked To Myself Topic

Have just started a "Myself" Topic with my mixed Reception/Year 1 class. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what activities i could set up in the sand and water linked to this topic as i seem to have had a mental block today.

could you link the water topic to bathtime routines - keeping clean how and why we do this? could also wash doll and their clothes again on keeping clean and how and why we do this. children could talk about their own bedtime routine? x

Adding letters to the sand tray so they could print their names in the sand.

Hiding numbers in the sand and water so they can find their own age? Use magnetic letters and numbers with magnets?

 

Their footprints in the sand- measuring how long each footprint is and comparing sizes.

 

Bury their name cards in the sand with paper clips attached to them- chn use magnets to find their own name card.
