Guest
My head has insisted we use the same reports for SEN children as other children (I use one for rec which I have adapted from forrmat of rest of school ones to address areas of learning). This doesn't really reflect to me the progress some of the autistic children have made and I wondered what others use?
Cait
could you use the same general headings and just write a bit from each area of learning that the child has particularly enjoyed - been particularly good at. In my experience, parents of SEN children see so many negative reports about their child (as there needs to be to get funding support) that a positive statement about what is great about the child can work wonders! Guest
I've always using the same report headings for SEN children as other children in the class. Lots of "enjoys..." and "is developing...". Obviously some of the statments would be different and may be from earlier stages of EYFS.
