Staff Confidentiality Policy

Has anyone got a staff confidentiality policy that they could share with me please. I'm having a talk with my staff tomorrow regards to confidentiality not discussing pre-school outside of pre-school time, I seem to have a member of staff talking about the children in the playground after school. They did however sign a confidentility policy when they started, but I have just read the one that I issued to them and it doesnt mention anything about confideniality outside of preschool hours. i would like to include something about if parents approach them about not being happy, other children etc that they must say to them "sorry due to confidentiality i can not discuss issue regarding to pre-school please discuss it with the line manager tomorrow. Hope this makes sense as I'm not good at writing it down clearly. Do you think I could put at the end of this, if they breech confidentiality this could mean instant dismissal.

Help please thank you!

I'm not sure if under employment laws it could be an instant dismasl but certainly you could say if bringing the pre-schools name into disrepute (and by gossiping in a school playground about company matters then they are almost certainly doing that) they wil be disciplined etc, etc.

We dont have a staff confidentiality policy just a general one that I expect all staff, committee (and parents!) to strictly adhere to. I think if you have a member of staff discssing children in the school playground you need to have a serious discussion with her alone and point out that this cannot continue and what the consequences will be if they do. Do you have anything in your staff contracts relating to this?
