Possum
I don't work with 0 -2's but I thought that you just go with their interests, same as the over 2's. Do you feel you have to forward plan other than your continuous provision and enhancements to that?
Guest
Our room is too small to have as wide a variety of activities as we would like out all the time. So we have planned the day to have a slot both morning and afternoon for specific planned activities. These include such things as painting (on the easel, table, floor, themselves), lots and lots of messy play, heuristic play etc etc. These do follow their interests and their PLODs (possible lines of direction) I think you have to have experience in a baby room to realise how much time the routines do take up! Cait
I think you have to have experience in a baby room to realise how much time the routines do take up! Gruffalo2 Yes, I'm sure that those of us who don't haven't a clue! - and I don't mean that sarcastically - I really mean it! Having looked after only 2 under 2's at one time I can only imagine what a roomful must be like! There are those of us who are drawn to the baby room and those that aren't - and I'm definitely one of the latter! Don't get me wrong, I love babies, just in ones and twos!
