Guest Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Hi everyone, can anyone offer any suggestions as to how I can promote equal opportunities within my childminding setting? I already use books with positive images and dolls and small world toys of different types. Any thoughts on the subject would be gratefully received.

Upsy Daisy Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Don't forget about celebration diversity within your own setting. There are differences between the children and yourself in terms of likes/ dislikes, family routines and rituals, clothing, hobbies, songs, stories, favourite toys, comforters...... The list is endless. It is about recognising those differences, tolerating and supporting each other's choices and valuing what each person brings to the setting.
