Hi

quick question cos im getting a bit confused.

When reporting a concern who do you first report to childrens care services or LSCB? Our policy seems to imply LSCB.

If you have filled out a cause for concern form do you have to report it or is it just a record for monitoring?

Thnaks

At the inspection this week the inspector said you must first report it to the lscb/child protection agency.

As for the paperwork, no you don't have to report it if you have written a cause for concern sheet out. You need to monitor the situation.

Hope that helps :)

p.s, this is just what our inspector said, going on threads on this board other inspectors may say something different :o

Our Cause for Concern forms are usually filed in the children's records and monitored - if a pattern began to emerge then we would consider reporting.
