Cait
We don't usually do anything for Valentine's day, but there's lots of stuff here
Guest
We're making some saltdough for children to make poss heart shapes or just whatever they fancy, then when dry children will wrap up in valentines wrapping paper (cheap tissue paper with hearts all over and a cheap roll of red metallic wrapping paper) as a gift to whoever they choose- can make and write tag for the present if they so wish. Have bought some gold heart shaped confetti and thinking some red food colouring in the saltdough will make it Valentines Day-ey Also doing cards but they will probably just be simple- red card decorated as they wish, suspect lots of glitter and heart shaped confetti will be involved! Have loaned loads of books from library about love etc to reinforce Valentines Day. Will be keeping my eye out for any other ideas on how to reinforce through child-intitiated play (small world, sensory-sand/water tray, physical, role play, kuw)
