Free Leaflets From Nspcc

In PLA Under 5's magazine this month they talked about NSPCC resource 'Thermal Injuries on Children'/ It gives guidance to help those working with children to identify the difference between accidental and deliberate burns on children. You can find it here: www.nspcc.org.uk/inform

I was thinking of doing just that actually! There are 5 in all which would be good to go through together as a staff team in part of the staff meeting.

I think the leaflets give really good information about how to spot the difference between accidental/non-accidental burns on children - but some of the information is a bit graphic. I've printed them out ready for our next staff meeting - as you say it will provide the basis of a good team discussion.
