Guest
In PLA Under 5's magazine this month they talked about NSPCC resource 'Thermal Injuries on Children'/ It gives guidance to help those working with children to identify the difference between accidental and deliberate burns on children. You can find it here: www.nspcc.org.uk/inform You can download or order up to 5 free copies for your setting.

Guest
Here's the link to the pdf document HERE But LJW's address takes you to their homepage which is well worth a look if you've never seen the NSPCC website. Peggy
HappyMaz
Is this the sort of thing you'd print out/order for staff to keep in their staff handbook? Maz
Guest
I was thinking of doing just that actually! There are 5 in all which would be good to go through together as a staff team in part of the staff meeting.
HappyMaz
I think the leaflets give really good information about how to spot the difference between accidental/non-accidental burns on children - but some of the information is a bit graphic. I've printed them out ready for our next staff meeting - as you say it will provide the basis of a good team discussion. Maz
