i have had to inform ofsted about a child who took ill at nursery and had to go to hospital. I have followed this up in writing.

But what happens now?

Do ofsted just record the matter or do they have to come out and investigate it.

We had to advise them of an accident that occurred and the HSE followed up. But it was not very intimidating at all, although it was a while after before we heard from them.

I had to inform them when a child broke his arm at our out of school club - nothing ever happened.

We had to inform them when one of our children had suspected meningitis. We'd been contacted by the Health Protection Unit (HPU) and they told us to telephone OFSTED as part of everything else we had to do OFSTED told us to confirm everything we'd done in writing. we got a letter about three months later acknowledging the letter and that was it.

Went to see him today they are hoping to let him go home tomorrow he was happy, chatty and lively. As soon as he saw me he started dancing which he loves dancing, fed him his tea and sat and played cars with him for a while (rory the racing car), he cried when it was time to go think he wanted to come back to nursery with me. It was good to see him up and about because the day before when i went to see him he was still drowsy from sedatives for his CT scan.
