I remember there being some fans of Leonard Cohen on here. Just thought I would let you know he is playing the O2 area in July. I went to the O2 for the first time last night to see Boyzone (I know but they were very good) the venue is one of the best I have been to. Well worth a visit even if you just want to go to the cinema and have a meal.

My husband, when we very young boy and girl type thing, got quite 'excited' - said he felt like 'slitting his wrist' so I stopped listening - publicly, at least!!!

Well I Googled him and read some of the lyrics. They are really wonderful and the man is certainly a poet. Looks like I will have to go onto itunes and have a listen.

I had one of his albums when I was younger and my cynical older sister wrote across the front "hang a long a leonard". I remember being really upset with her as I really liked it. Saying that my friend from years back has just bought his greatest hits and we were singing along the other day. Then ironically I read these threads on this forum.

I know he's on at Glastonbury this year. Luckily my son goes to a school close by and for working as Stewards we all get in to the Festival for free. Haven't got a clue what his music sounds like but I soon will!!!
