Resignation Letter

I need to write my letter of resignation from my foundation stage teacher post. Can someone just give me an idea what to write I cant seem to get the wording write. Thanks

Mine have always been very simple. State that you are resigning with effect of what date, and I usually add that I wish the school etc success int he future. If I enjoyed the job, I would add that I have.

When I resigned earlier this year as playleader this is what I wrote (with names etc. blanked out!)

 

Dear *****,

 

I would like to inform you that due to changing personal circumstances I will no longer be able to continue with my employment. Therefore I am resigning from my position as Playleader for [setting name], effective [insert date].

 

I would like to thank the committee for all their hard work and support during my time at the playgroup. I have not only gained qualifications and skills I didn’t have before, but have made some wonderful friendships along the way.

 

Please be assured that I will continue to give my very best to the playgroup up until the day I finish and will support the committee with the handover to my replacement. I am sure that a change in leadership will bring in new ideas and enthusiasm which will help to develop the playgroup further.

Very good ideas so far. Apparently you can also google 'resignation letters' on the internet and will give you some ideas.
