Sue R Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Sorry TORO, would love to help, but am in the midlands, and not really privy to other classifications salaries - so, can only hope there IS someone out there with advice!! Sue Quote
Steve Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Hi Toro - An article in this months Nursery World briefly mentions salaries from a recent survey. Add 30 percent on for London wages. Nursery Manager: £7.30 per hour Nursery Nurse: £5.40 per hour Nursery Assistant: £ 4.67 per hour Domestics and administrators: £ 5.15 per hour Don't know if this helps or how accurately this reflects reality... Sue R Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Goodness!! Don't shout so loud, Steve, my boss will hear!! I've just been given a rise !Needless to say, I'm a happy bunny - not quite London weighting, but very nice, thank you!! Sue Quote
Guest Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Comes to something when the cleaners are on nearly as much money as childcare workers if not more. The world is mad don't they realise how much responsibility we have and how much work we do. Quote
TORO Posted July 8, 2004 Author Posted July 8, 2004 I thank you all for your prompt replies, I personally think that childcare workers should be paid more and respected as professionals in their own right. Cheers again Quote
