Guest Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 We had a little boy come into our group for a settling in day. Mum stayed with him but kept a distance while he played. They went home happy and we all waved goodbye. When I arrived home, mum had taken the time to send me a lovely e-mail, saying what a great time they had had, and that the little boy was pretending to be me, and that I must have made a great impression on him! She said that it was so lovely to see myself and the staff bubbly from the time the doors opened until home time, and said for me to put my feet up and take time for me! She was just so lovely and made me once again really appreciate how lucky I am to have the job I have and the part we play in children's lives. Yes today was a GOOD day! Quote
Sue R Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 How lovely for you trea! People are so quick to complain, it makes a change for someone to be so supportive and appreciative! Sounds like she may become an asset for your pre-school Sue Quote
bubblejack Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Well done. Comments like that are priceless. Quote
Beau Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Thats great Trea, there are still lots of thoughtful people around. I think we are all caught up in our busy lives and sometimes forget to say thank you. Quote
mundia Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Wonderful to end the week on a high Trea. Also helps to restore ones faith in human nature. Quote
