JoeG Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 On Tapestry you can record assessments through our built in assessment frameworks, our Flags, or create your own Bespoke Flags and Bespoke Frameworks. Which framework and assessment method you choose may depend on which framework you need to use at your setting, or your personal preference. This tutorial will cover enabling and disabling the assessment frameworks that are built into Tapestry. If you'd like to enable EYFS 2021 please see this tutorial To use the Flags built into Tapestry please see this tutorial If you'd like to create your own Bespoke Flags please see this tutorial To create your own Bespoke Framework see these tutorials: Bespoke Frameworks: Creating a CSV Bespoke Frameworks: Uploading your CSV file Bespoke Frameworks: Scales, Details & Components Bespoke Frameworks: Editing a framework Bespoke Frameworks: Deleting a framework Bespoke Frameworks: Draft Bespoke Frameworks On Tapestry there are currently 19 built in assessment frameworks: Aistear (Ireland) Characteristics of Effective Learning Cherry Garden Developmental Milestones (Australia) Early Years Learning Framework (Australia) ELGs 2021 Every Child a Talker (ECAT) EYFS 2017-2020 International Early Years Curriculum Key Stage 1 Key Stage 2 Leuven Scales Northern Ireland Foundation Stage Northern Ireland Preschool Progress Indicators Pre-Key Stage 1/2 SEND The Montessori Curriculum Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (Australia) Welsh Foundation Phase Framework Tapestry allows you to enable and disable these individually, so that staff can either access them, or not, when creating observations. You also have the option to allow parents to view each active assessment type in observations (but not to create or edit them). It's very straightforward to set these as you wish - simply log into the browser version as a manager and go to your Control Panel: Then go to 'Settings' (1) and 'Assessments' (2). From there you'll need to click on the 'Configure' button to the left of the assessment type that you would like your staff members/relatives to access (or to not access). You'll then be able to use the tick boxes in the option box that appears to set whether the framework is enabled at all (if it's disabled it won't show up when your staff make an observation or in your tracking section) and whether relatives can see the assessments made in that particular framework. If you change anything please remember to press 'submit'! Go back to Main Tutorials Page
