Welcome to this month's newsletter, giving you a roundup of all the latest goings-on with Tapestry.
New EYFS Points Progress screen
We are very excited to announce that we have a new EYFS tracking screen available on Tapestry that was much-requested, the Points Progress screen. This will show you the number of 'jumps' of age bands and/or refinements children have made between terms.
Our tutorial goes into more depth about the information the screen gives you, as well as where to find the screen on Tapestry. We hope you find this useful!
Data protection changes
Following on from last month’s newsletter, we can now confirm we have appointed a data protection officer, Lauren Foley. Some of you might recognise Lauren's name as she has been with us for 3 years and is currently our Product Support Manager. If you need to contact her you can do so by emailing dpo@eyfs.info.
As well as this we will be updating our contracts with everyone to be much more explicit about who does what and how we handle privacy and security. We'll share a draft of this new contract before Christmas.
Free webinars
Do you need some extra training with Tapestry? We run lots of webinars throughout the year that are free to attend and cover a wide range of topics. All our scheduled webinars are listed on our Webinars section on the forum and you can sign up to them from there or by emailing us at customer.service@eyfs.info. Our next upcoming webinar is on the topic, ‘What to do at the end of the term (EYFS)’. This is scheduled for the 12th December at 4pm.

If you would like training that is more bespoke, we do also run remote training sessions which cost £30 +VAT per half hour. If you would like more information about these sessions or you would like to book one you can also email us at customer.service@eyfs.info.
Tapestry Christmas theme
If you want to make your Tapestry account have that festive feel leading up to the holiday season, we do have a Christmas theme available on the browser version of Tapestry! A manager can enable this on your account from the Control Panel, this tutorial explains how to do this.
FSF Summary of Ofsted Bold Beginnings report
On the Foundation Stage Forum we have lots of great resources available to practitioners as well as providing you with all the latest news from the Early Years sector.
We have recently posted a link to Ofsted's latest report, ' Bold beginnings: Ofsted report on Reception classes', as well as adding a helpful summary of the report for you. We'd love to hear your thoughts about the report on the forum post.
