  1. Hi @Tweetinat That's so great to hear! Staff scheduling is something we are currently looking into. I'll make a note for us to get back to you once we have an update for you on this. 🙂 Do let us know if you have any suggestions on what you'd like to see on staff scheduling in the meantime. Best wishes, Anya

  4. Hi @EldenePreschool I'm afraid it's not currently possible for staff to send each other direct messages, however we are currently working on our Messaging feature which is almost ready for release - we are just waiting for the new iOS app to be ready so that it can be used on all devices. I have added you to the list of people to notify when this is ready for release. As @Mouseketeer mentioned, using Reflections is a great way to talk about your provision with other staff members as relatives can't see reflections. Documents could be a good way of sharing policies or information about an upcoming event but staff wouldn't be able to comment on them as they can only be viewed and downloaded. I hope this helps! Please do let us know if you have any further questions at all. ☺️ Anya Tapestry Support Team
  5. This tutorial will take you through how to use the Comments functionality within the Care Diary on the iOS app. Please note that in order to access the Care Diary on the app you will need to ensure that your Tapestry iOS app is updated to version 5.0.0 or higher. You can find the app version number, beginning "Version..", at the bottom of your app login screen. To add comments to the Care Diary using the web browser version of Tapestry please see this guide here. This tutorial is split up into two sections: adding a comment and replying to a comment. You can use the links below to skip to a specific section. Adding a comment Replying to a comment Adding a comment Comments are messages you can send to relatives through the Care Diary. They are intended for communicating with the relatives of a single child at a time, rather than something you can send to the parents of a whole group or a class. If relatives have access to the Care Diary they can view your Care Diary comments and add their own comments. These comments are attached to a particular day's Care Diary entries for that child. To add a Care Diary comment through the iOS app, login to the Tapestry app and open the Care Diary section: On the next screen you'll see a list of the children on your account. To add a comment for a child just tap the 'Comments' button for their profile. Type your comment into the comments box (1) and tap the paper aeroplane icon (2) to send it. You can also change the date you are viewing entries for by taping the left and right arrows (3): You will now be able to see your comment (1) and a like button (2). Replying to a comment When a child has a new, unread comment, a red dot will appear on their comments button. Tapping on that will take you through to their comments page. Here you will see any comments for the day you are viewing (1) and a like button (2). If you tap on a comment you will be presented with more options and information. These are: The name of the relative or staff member that sent the comment. The comment itself. The ability to like the comment. Any previous replies will show up underneath and you can also add new replies. Any likes will show up in this section and you can also like previous comments here. Staff members or relatives with permission can delete comments. Back to Main Tutorials Page
  6. Happy 20th birthday FSF! It's so lovely to read all your messages about being part of the forum and working in the world of education too. Just like some of you, the best part for me was just building those connections. Being part of their world for the time they were with you was so much fun; being creative, exploring the outdoors, building with some lego/blocks... you get to be a kid again but with the added bonus that you get to teach them about it all (for maybe the first time ever too) which I think is pretty cool! 😎
  7. Hi there, If you go into your camera, swipe over the screen from the left to right and a camera and video will appear. On this screen if you look to the right side there is a small cog looking sign (settings) click on this. This will then take you onto another page where you will need to click ‘Resolution and quality’. If you look down the list you should find ‘Image Format’, if you then click on this you can change the format from HEIF to JPEG. I hope this helps but do let us know if you require any further support with this at all! Anya Tapestry Support Team
  8. Hi there! In this tutorial I will talk you through the steps of how to create a Report using the EYFS 2021. The report format is quite similar to creating an EYFS Report, but you'll notice that the age bands and refinements section are missing to reflect the new Development Matters guidance. To create a new report, you will need to login to your Tapestry account via the browser. You'll then need to click on the 'Reports' tab near the top of the page (1). You should then see your 'Reports Overview' page (2), here you can choose the framework for your report, which you can select from the 'Add Report' section (3), in this case we will be selecting 'EYFS 2021' (3). Once you have selected the 'EYFS 2021' report and chosen the child you'll be making the report on, you will be taken to this screen: First, you'll need to add a title as reports can't be saved without a title (1). You'll also see that there is an 'Options' box (2) containing the 'Status' of the report, which by default will be set to 'draft' and the 'Date' the report was created, you can change these as you need. You will notice that there are three different types of ‘status’ for a report, these are: Draft – You can save a report as a draft whilst you are still working on it. Relatives will not be able to see these. Published – Once a report is published, relatives can then view them. Staff only – This shows the report is complete but only staff members can see them. Below this, you will see the 'Child' section (3), this includes the 'Date of Entry to Setting', their 'Date of Birth' and their 'Age in Months at Check', these will all be automatically filled in (4). You can also fill in any additional information about the child in the 'Additional Information' (5) box provided! Next you will see following two sections: Throughout the report you can choose to 'hide' certain sections or fields (1). If they are hidden, they will not show up in the finished report. Also, if any of the boxes contain no text they will be hidden by default. You can un-hide these at any point. In the first box 'Staff who contributed to this report' (2), you can record the staff members who contribute to the report. The second box, 'Overview of child's playing, learning and thinking', is for you to record an overview of the child's playing, learning and thinking (3). This can be general, but you may want to refer the Characteristics of Effective Learning here. Once you've finished entering these details, you will see the first of the seven EYFS learning areas (1). Each area of learning has its own section. Here you'll see the 'Staff Comments' section where staff can write about that specific learning area (2). Please note, this will be where you notice a difference from the EYFS Report as you will not have the option to 'Fill Assessments' including the option to 'Autofill' the 'Next Steps', so you can use your professional judgment to fill these out yourselves (3). Once you've completed filling in the relevant EYFS learning areas, you'll see that you have the option to an any 'Additional Information' (1). Now you can add 'Child Voice' and 'Relative Contribution' (2), this is something you can do at any point, even once a report is published. You can also do this on their behalf. You can also add the ‘Relative Contribution’ on the relative’s behalf. Below those sections, you'll see the 'Signatures' section (3), here the Key Person, Relative and Manager can sign the report. Please note, a staff member or manager would be able to sign on a relative's behalf. The next section will be where you can add any media to your report (1), this will allow you to add photos, videos or audio files and documents e.g. PDFs. You can do this by clicking ‘Add Files’, selecting the files from your computer, and then clicking ‘Start Upload’ (2). You can also remove any files you have added using the Delete button (3). Once these are uploaded, you'll also be able to change the order of the files by using the arrow on the right. Please note, documents will show up separate to photos, videos and audio files. Once you're happy with everything, click 'Save Report' or 'Save and Add Another' and you're all done! (4) On the next page, you will see the finished version of the Report where you can add any comments. If you want to make your report visible to relatives, you just need to follow this tutorial.
