Antiseptic wipes? I can't see that they would be any better or worse than antibac hand rub though.

On Saturday I was at a Children's Center event and a couple of NHS ladies were there. They had that gel you put on your hands and then you put them under the UV light.

One man put his hands under and was really suprised that he had germs on his hands because he'd just used the anti-bac gel and the lady was saying that actually the gel isn't as good as the wipes.

So for actually cleaning your hands, the wipes are better apparently.

Nursery Rhymes with Mr Tumble

Today I was looking after one of the boys from nursery, and his little sister who's 2 (and a half maybe?) And when I asked him if he wanted to go for a walk to the field across the road, his little sister says "And me, can I come?!" As if I'd leave her home alone! Bless her

Personally, a pay rise doesn't make me feel appreciated (not that I'm saying I feel unappreciated!) - although I happily took a pay rise, and would any other time one was offered! How many people get their pay checks and think "Yeah, I'm really valued and appreciated in this job" ? I think there are other ways to show someone your appreciation - a special evening to celebrate the member of staffs achievements, etc.

I suppose it depends on what kind of person you are, I would've done my NVQ even if I knew there would be no pay rise at the end. I did it for me - and for the children. The thing that makes me feel good about gaining a qualification is that I can now use all my knowledge to help my key children to learn as much as possible.

Won't they have graduated from high school by now???

They graduated aaages ago! A few seasons ago. They're all at Uni now.!

I finished season 6 about a month ago, and I'm getting really crabby waiting for the next season to be released. Season 7 was on the telly 9 years ago!! What's taking them so long?!

But I literally watched a season in 2 days, dread to think how much I've spend on seasons 1-6

By the time I posted this I was way past the stage of needing insect repelant... haha. I've only got a few left now, and they don't bother me until I remember that they're there... like now.!

I'm on the trian on the way home, not a clue where we are though. Somewhere between Carlisle and somewhere else?

SImon has fallen asleep and I'm bored bored bored!! So thought I'd pop on here.

So I just thought I'd pop on and see what's happening. This wasn't such a good idea, as everything's taking ages to load!

There's not a lot happening her is Largs really! We've been on lots of walks by the sea anf that's about it really. I've managed to be bitten about 5 million times by who knows what!! I've only really got tomorrow left here, as Tuesday will be spend cleaning the flat and packing and Wednesday travelling home.

I think you should all know that I won a hot dog sweet on one of those 2p machines in the arcade - it was probably the proudest moment of the week. Apart from maybe getting 2 ice cream cones cause the lady broke the bottom off the first one!
