  1. Hi everyone, just wanted to chime in here as we've run into something very similar with our setting and it was incredibly stressful during an LA audit last year. We had a few children leave mid-year and, like you, we marked them for deletion assuming that historic attendance would be preserved somewhere in the background. It wasn’t until much later that we discovered the register data had vanished along with their profiles. We were lucky enough to still have PDF backups from our own weekly exports, but I totally agree, this shouldn’t have to be a workaround for what is essentially a core safeguarding and funding requirement. It’s good to hear from Alexandra that Tapestry is working on a 'partially deleted' status. That would genuinely help a lot of us who need to maintain records for 6+ years without cluttering up current data views. In the meantime, for anyone else reading this and exploring alternatives, we’ve started cross-referencing with our attendance management software to ensure we’ve always got a second layer of backup. There are some useful tips and resources about safeguarding and data retention over at Nannyz if you're juggling multiple systems or just trying to make sense of what's expected from a compliance angle. Really hope this new status rolls out soon, losing access to this kind of data just isn’t sustainable for most of us.
