This web site has been fantastic and given me so many wonderful ideas. I'm glad I spent the year in year 2 though. I feel it has made me a better teacher!!! I really want to take the best of the foudation stage with me and approach year 2 in a creative way, planning to the FS 6 areas of learning and working in cross curricular ways, perhaps we could have a dedicated area for us FS traitors who have crossed the line, but want to promote the best of early years practice, even in upper KS1!? Guest Posted June 18, 2007 Share Posted June 18, 2007 I teach a mixed Reception - Year 2 class and use www.clickteaching.com all the time. I dont use the planning as much but it is a fantastic resource site. You are able to select your subject and topic and it has loads of downloadable resources you can use that can save you a lot of time. As a bonus all of the resources are available in word format so you can edit and ammend them if you wish. You have to pay a yearly fee but it has been well worth it for me. Good luck in the new job.
