Magenta Posted May 20, 2007 Share Posted May 20, 2007 At the moment we use Abacus Unit Plans - very prescribed too. We had a short INSET on new Maths curriculum and were told that we would not be able to use Abacus Unit Plans any longer as they do not 'fit', staff will be able to use ideas but not format - much more planning to be done by teachers. I presume this is the same with all schemes as you plan more from what the children need. As I work in Foundation I am certainly no expert though!
