Guest
Hi Karen If it is just a case of thinking up ideas to plan why don't you work through each of the aspects, looking at the stepping stones and the part "What should the practitioner do?" and try to come up with some ideas? So, for instance, looking at Exploration and Investigatioin 2 you could do an activity with ice which will cover "Talk about what is seen and what is happening" and "Show an awareness of change". Your staff may find it easier if you work through and look at each aspect individually and break it down. Linda

Guest
Hi Karen I have done training with my staff in the past getting them to think of what we already do and what we could do. I have found it better to get them to do the thinking rather than feeding them all the information-they find they remember it more. Have some ideas yourself to get the ball rolling but once you get them started you and they will be surprised by how much they actually already do know. wellerkaren
I think i will try using linda's idea of getting the staff to thnk out ideas together. I am doing the training session on friday so i will see how it goes if this does not work i will have to re think what i can do next time. thank you for all your response Do you all plan somthing for knowledge and understanding of fthe owrld daily. this is what we do a present. or do you plan one activity that you extend over the week Edited May 18, 2007 by wellerkaren
Guest
I find that childrens KUW interests tend to extend over a period of time, certainly a week, if not longer. We also have various attendence patterns, ie: some childrens 1st session of the week is on a Wednesday. Peggy
