Hi do you do your medium term and planning over a month or over the half terms as the schools do. I have the Autumn 1 and Autumn 2 etc but wondered how long these ran over is it 6 weeks? many thanks

We are a college based nursery so we open college term times. 39weeks from Sept 06 to July 07. Basically we are open school half terms, but may break up or come back a week earlier or later for main term holidays. Our medium term planning is done over 5 or 6 weeks, although next half term will be 7 weeks, so we will use the last week as a fun week, e.g. picnic, sports.

In our area Autumn term is usually 14 weeks (7 + 7), this year Spring term is 11 weeks and summer term is 13 weeks (38 weeks in total).
