Mother's Day (sung to Frere Jaques)

We love mothers, we love mothers

Yes, we do yes, we do

Mothers are for hugging

Mothers are for kissing

We love you yes, we do!

"Mummy Is the One I Love"

(To the tune of "Mary Had A Little Lamb")

Mummy is the one I love, one I love, the one I love.

Mummy is the one I love and

She loves great big hugs.

To the tune of "Jesus Loves Me"...

Mummy loves me this I know, for she always tells me so.

She holds me when I'm scared or sad.

She understands me when I'm mad.

Yes, Mummy loves me. Yes, Mummy loves me.

Yes, Mummy loves me, she always tells me so!

Just thought I would share the inspiration I had for using one of the poems posted. Bookmarks!

I have pre-prepared the basic bookmark and will cut them out carefully! (My patience isn't up to letting the children do it, not by 25 children!!) There is a space for the children to try and write their name at the bottom. Then on the reverse I have got lots of lovely sequins, sticky stars etc for them to decorate, before we (me and the children this time!!) laminate them! Once cut out (by me again) the children can hole punch one hole at the bottom and choose what colour ribbon they want to attach...... hey presto!
