Guest
My nursery currently do not offer sibling reductions, and this is something that I would like to introduce. For those of you who do, how much discount do you offer? Also, when the older sibling leaves, does the younger sibling's fees increase or remain at the discounted rate? belle06
We offer 10% sibling discount but this only applies whilst more than one child is within the setting. this discount is off everything including meals. We also offer a 50% discount to staff children and a 10% discount to emergency personnel staff (police Fire e.t.c)
Guest
Can I ask why you give a reduction for siblings? I never have done and was wondering why others did. I have always felt that it costs the same for two children to attend, so why would it be different for two from the same family? We had triplets last year, would you give 10% for both extra children? Sue R
As far as I'm aware, we offer 5% discount to eldest child (obviously, where all chn are in same setting!!!!!), which disappears when they leave - but this is different if there are subsequent siblings - I will attempt to check - IF I REMEMBER!!!!! Sue Linda - this is a Day Nursery consideration, given the relatively high rate of fees as opposed to Pre-school? That was the rationale for my response - was I off on one, Shelley?? Marion
The nurseries in my area offer between 10% and 20% reduction for the 2nd child. You could probably check on you council website for other settings in your area. http://www.childcarelink.gov.uk/whitebox/c...wn4=&town5=
Guest
we give 10% discount for eldest child, once that child leaves normal full fees are charged for remaining sibling, if we have more than two siblings in the setting then the eldest child only gets the discount, once that child leaves then next sibling in line will get discount. Guest
Yes I am in a day nursery! In the area we are based, parent's frequently would love to register their second child, but can't afford to.

Guest
Hi Shelley We give a 10% discount for siblings, that is each child. If one leaves the other one carries on with 10% discount. This is as an incentive to stay with us. Staff also get a 10% discount. We also don't charge teachers from the school for the holidays. Teri P.S. When can you come and look round and have a cup of tea and a chat ?!!!
