Guest Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 HI we did our baby and toddler xmas sing along today, 15 children, loads of parents and relatives etc.... only one crying child, and all went well. It was amazing,. It all pulled together, and parents loved it. so tommorow it is the pre-school and tweenie room nativity with a 21st century twist, can't wait,.... My first xmas as manager and its all pulling together nicely Dawn Quote
JacquieL Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 How lovely and well done. These things make Christmas don't they? Quote
Guest Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Congtatulations, I hope ours go as well. Rehersals have not been going to well, we have a child with behavioural difficulties. Everytime we reherse he pulls the set over, runs around the hall screaming, hopefully it will all come together on the day. I'm just hoping he'll see the parents etc and be wonderful, fingers crossed. Good luck with your next performance. Quote
Guest Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Ours is tomorrow. The dress rehearsal went really well today-not sure if that is good or bad! I will be glad when it is done. Linda Quote
Guest Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Other production done today, a few crying children, but other than that all went well, parents loved it children went home nice and early too, which was great... perfect opportunity for a good spring clean Quote
Sue R Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Glad everything went well, Dawn Linda - how was the real thing? Our first show went a dream this evening, just 2 more to go......... Simcity - very good luck to you! Quote
Susan Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Linda, hope all went well! And anyone else with a production to do still, hope they go well. Quote
Guest Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Well ours was a blast. I knew it would probably be a bit lively and yes it was. Mary and the angel had a fight over baby Jesus, the Angel had the legs and Mary had his head. she was very emphatic that this was HER baby Jesus and certainly she wasn't going to let anyone have it let alone an upstart of an angel!!! One of the kings managed to find the only box of Tescos value tissues (on the stage for blowing snotty noses), put it on his head over his crown and began singing Happy Birthday and the camels (by popular request - no one wanted to be a donkey) who were escorting Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem felt that it would be a good idea to show everyone how fast they could run!! It was like a grand prix circuit!! However, the parents thought it brilliant - lots of improvisation and creativity and we are now preparing the outtakes for some TV programme which will earn us some money. It was certainly very funny and no one could have prepared us for it. Nikki Quote
Guest Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 It was lovely! One of our little girls shone out, the least expected of them all-doesn't it always happen that way?? Her mum was crying all the way through! Not one of them cried or wanted to be with their parents. I was so pleased. And one of our mums made 80 mince pies for after the concert and they all went! I was so disappointed-I was hoping there would be some left over for our tea breaks for the rest of the week! Friday seems such a long way away! We are all getting very tired now. Happy Christmas everybody! Linda Quote
Sue R Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 And a happy Christmas to you, too, Linda! Sue xx Quote
