Hi Everyone,

I have finally taken the plunge and applied for a position as a pre school leader. I spoke to the committee chairperson today (who was very nice) and i explained that i am waiting on the results of my Certificate in Early Years (via the OU) which i am due to recieve back on or around the 16th December.

The Chairperson said i will be asked to spend the day at the preschool next week, could anyone give me any tips or suggestions for the interview process.

Thanks in advance

Good luck cupcake, my only advice is if you intend to get down at the childrens level when you talk and interact with them ( which I am sure you will xD ) Don't be wearing THONGS :(:o:(

let us know how you get on won't you.

That's made me smile Peggy....the head at our nursery always "reads the riot act" to any would be students who come on placement and at one point she says she doesn't care what underwear they have on as long as she and the children can't see it! They quite often look alarmed at that but the warning always works!

Well, yes, that would've been something I would have said, if I'd thought of it!!!!! Having had to speak to someone on just that point ( Oh, soooo embarrassing - she came back later to say she'd taken them off!! - they were visible down the back of her skirt, so you can imagine what was then visible :oxD:( )

Otherwise, just make sure you interact with EVERYONE - you never know who might be a 'plant'!!

Sue - PS Good luck !
