Should I....?

I saw a job in one of the local papers today for a senior nursery nurse (head of room) postion. I have a L3 qualification and recent B23 training. I am also doing a Foundation Degree in Early Years so I am committed to becoming an Early Year Professional, hopefully in 2010. xD Now I think this postion is full time and I can only do 3/4 days per week. :o I have been looking into the nursery and have discovered that there is already a job share in the baby room. :D

Now should I apply for the job?

Would I have a disavange because I can only work 3/4 days per week due to college committments?

Would I be more of an advantage condsering that I am already on my first steps to becoming an EYP which the govenment wants all staff to become from 2010 (children's centres)/2015(PVI settings)?

I know I have a work placement in a school but I need to be seen looking for a job. I also feel that I may becoming bad at interviews as most of the last 21 have turned me down. I have only had 2 job offers out of the 21 interviews.

Thanks in advance

I think you should go for it, since they already have one job share i think it is highly likely they would consider you.

You have excellent prospects (in so much as you are doing the foundation degree) and one step nearer to EYPS which as you point out most want in place by 2010.....

so go for it, and good luck....

Ok must get craking, now if only I knew how to state my day off for college. I am going to have to think about that. If you can help great. If not thats ok. :(
