Guest Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I think Peggy knows quite a bit about Peer on Peer obs - where are you Peggy? Well yesterday at 21:59 I was fast asleep because the night before I was at the local pub halloween party until 1:30 am ( need I say more ) Attached is the staff obs sheet I use, the 1st page shows the assessment criteria which I got from a peer on peer training course, the second page ( excell book) is a blank obs sheet, we write them as narratives then circle which assessment criteria in each area 1, 2, 3, and 4, has been met within the obs. I print them as a 2 sided doc. Peggy STAFF_OBS_SHEET.xls
Guest Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Thanks Peggy, that's a good starting point for us
skippy Posted November 2, 2006 Author Posted November 2, 2006 Thanks Peggy do you use it as a tick list or do you write a summertive account as well?
Guest Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Hi, We use the adult engagement scales when observing adults during child initiated activities. These scales come from the EEL project and were devise to measure adult engagement and child engagement during play/free choice situations. Really interesting stuff.
Guest Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Thanks Peggy do you use it as a tick list or do you write a summertive account as well? definately a summative account is written, I find tick lists rarely useful except for a few child physical skills. Peggy Hi, We use the adult engagement scales when observing adults during child initiated activities. These scales come from the EEL project and were devise to measure adult engagement and child engagement during play/free choice situations. Really interesting stuff. Do you have a copy to share?? I am interested in this because we will soon be assessed to a scale, of which the name escapes me ( on another post somewhere), which I think was used for the EPPE research or maybe even the EEL project.
