Rea Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 What do they do? My agency is moving into schools and wanted to know which of it's staff had experince of TA position. I havent, so wondered what their role is, and how it all differs from nursery.
Susan Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Hi Rea, you might find that you would enjoy working in a classroom--you ought to be directed by the teacher quite a lot but someone with knowledge and initiative is very useful. In a foundation stage classroom, it should be very similiar to your nursery work, in KS1 more formal tasks perhaps and working perhaps with individuals or small groups. Exactly what is required of you would depend on the school--why not give it a go and see how you get on? Good luck!
