SmileyPR Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Hi everyone, Does any of you know how does the Itchy Twitchy song goes? I hear part of the song via the web page, but not all of the refrain. It seems to be a wonderful song and I would love to use it with my children at school. Thanks in advance!
Gezabel Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Hi Is this what you are after? Sometimes when I'm supposed to be quiet And I'm trying to be perfectly still The strangest feeling comes over me It's kind of itchy, kind of twitchy. There's an itch on my head An itch on my nose An itch on my elbow An itch on my toes An itch on my lip An itch on my hip Until the teacher says, "Stop!" Sometimes when I'm supposed to be quiet And I'm trying to be perfectly still The strangest feeling comes over me It's kind of itchy, kind of twitchy. There's an itch on my tongue An itch on my chin An itch on my tummy Near my belly button An itch on my hair An itch in the air Until the teacher says, "Stop!" Sometimes when I'm supposed to be quiet And I'm trying to be perfectly still The strangest feeling comes over me It's kind of itchy, kind of twitchy. There's an itch on my neck An itch on my shin An itch on my foot That's tickling An itch on my ear An itch on my knee Until the teacher says, "Stop!" Sometimes when I'm supposed to be quiet And I'm trying to be perfectly still The strangest feeling comes over me.

SmileyPR Posted September 18, 2006 Author Posted September 18, 2006 Yes , Geraldine! That is the same song you can find in the web link I posted. I have the lyrics (aren't they funny?), but only part of the mp3 they present in that link. I was wondering if anyone know how it goes all the way . If you hear the music there in the link, you just 'die' of laughter .
beth1 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Yes SmileyPR the music is funny, nearly fell of the chair. Beth

I thought I would be 'helpful' and googled 'itchy twitchy' and thought I had solved your query by finding the lyrics!! I blame the fact that I am writing an assignment about gender, identity, self identity, multiple identities and gendered discourses I think it has resulted in me not knowing who I am or what I am doing!!
Beau Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Sounds to me like you were just trying to find an excuse to get a break from your assignment Geraldine.
Gezabel Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Sounds to me like you were just trying to find an excuse to get a break from your assignment Geraldine. Guilty as charged!!! severe dose of assignment avoidance syndrome with no cure in sight!!!
SmileyPR Posted September 19, 2006 Author Posted September 19, 2006 Don't worry, Geraldine, that can happen to any of us ! Thanks, anyway, for taking your time to help around. Best wishes with your work !
Guest Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Just glad to hear you copy and pasted the words - had this awful vision of you typing them all out!
