Guest
Hi all, Am still panicking although I feel a bit better because I was in school all day today and got a lot done. Can anyone tell me what they use for baselines. We use the Foundation Stage Curriculum and I have also devised aparents interview booklet. Thanks in advance. Guest
hi when our profiles were moderated last year she said that in the first six weeks of the term assess what they can do from the early learning goals and record on their e profiles on entry instead of autumn a. This would then form our baseline. hope this helps louise
mundia
yes we pretty much do the same. You dont need to do do any additonal baseline assessments than the profile, we also put them in as on entry and then print them off for comparison at the end of the year. Bear in mind you are having OFSTED now, I would have thought they would be more interested in what you have from nurseries/preschool settings, if anyhting, and how you settle in the children. That was their concern when they last came to see us in September, they even came on home visits with us! (with permission from parents of course). I am going back a few years though.
