My favourite summer time occupation is picking billberries on the moor near to where i live.I'ts even better when hubby and sons join me.Yesterday picked heaps in half an hour and made a crumble and froze some too.

Going later this afternoon after a photo shoot at school (yes I know its the holidays) with 7 children we have managed to haul off their holiday. The local paper want to do our Ofsted news so we are doing it now as the Head retires this summer.

yum yum, I grow my own but dont seem to have a very plentifull supply. I deliberatealy planted them under the neighbours confiers as I had read they prefer the acidic soil but I wonder if they arent getting enouhg sunlight. MAy need to move them again for next year. WE also go to the local hills (funnily enouhg called bilberry hill) but they are much earlier than yours, usually June.
