Guest
We had our Reception Graduation Ceremony today. It was fantastic. We presented the children with a certificate and then they stood up and shared their memories with the crowd of parents, grandparents and anuties etc.. I was bursting with pride as i thought back to the timid and shy children who started with us and then looked at the proud and confident boys and girls on stage. We then shared a slide show of photo's of children taken through out the year which had been put to music. It was meant to be a happy occassion, which it was, but also ,unexpectedly, very emotional. The parents and children loved it and it was so nice to have time to sit and think 'yes all we do is so worthwhile' when usually we are running round like headless chickens at this time of year!!! Guest
Hi Lola, I know exactly how you feel. We broke up on Friday and I couldn't stop the tears. These children enter the setting on occasion timid and you have a huge sense of pride when they become confident young people. I love my job and feel fortunate that I am involved in the formative years of so many young lives. One of the children gave me a mug on Friday that says; As you foster the development of each one's talents, you make a contribution to our world - Thank you. How lovely is that. Keep up the good work Lola, We are so lucky.

Rea
I had a funny kind of day for different reasons. The nursery I was supplying to didnt want me when I got there, and as I hate that nursery anyway it was a massive bonus. Obviously the down side was that I didnt have the lie in that my friends 'just one more beer' the night before justified but a grand day over all. Guest
Poor you Rea, why don't you give those friends an early morning call just to see how they feel?
